For all martial arts enthusiasts and those who want to become one!
From March 1–10., in the week of the Feminist Fighters Day on March 8, within our project area fairplay prevention – point of contact against dehumanizing ideologies are launching a new campaign: Together with the Feminist Fighters Union, we are inviting martial arts clubs and gyms to take part in feminist fighters week. Get active and let’s set an example together for more gender diversity in martial arts!
FLINTA* in martial arts
The martial arts scene in Austria is enjoying increased attention and growth. However, it is still very much male-dominated. Despite increased training opportunities for women, there are many people who have not yet found a place in martial arts.
FLINTA* (a word that combines women, lesbians, intersexuals, non-binary, trans and agender) people want to train in martial arts, but are a target group that often cannot feel comfortable in the existing structures.
Participate in the feminist fighters week
You can support FLINTA* people with an extra training offer in the week around March 8. The participation of your gym or club will be accompanied by us personally and in social media, creating the opportunity to open your doors to target groups that have not yet been reached. Participating gyms and clubs benefit from a free preparation and follow-up workshop on the topic of gender-sensitive training.
More info to follow, so stay tuned – and see you on the mats!
