DESCRIPTION:»Voices of Dis­or­der\, Voices of the Aca­de­my. A talk with Yuder­kys Espinosa« \nAs part of the dia­lo­gue within Euro­pean Aca­de­mies about the deco­lo­niza­ti­on of know­ledge and stu­dies\, the theo­rist Yuder­kys Espi­no­sa Miño­so is invi­ted to talk about her care­er within and out­side the aca­de­my. In this pre­sen­ta­ti­on\, Espi­no­sa will share reflec­tions about her expe­ri­ence that as a black Carib­be­an migrant sub­ject she had over­co­me in aca­de­mic spaces. \nThis talk will be useful for cri­ti­cal stu­dents and aca­de­mics in the field of social sci­en­ces\, and espe­ci­al­ly for tho­se who work\, or would like to work\, with a deco­lo­ni­al\, anti-colo­ni­al\, and anti-racist femi­nist per­spec­ti­ve. We would like to reflect…What does it mean to be a deco­lo­ni­al thin­ker and a deco­lo­ni­al artist in a wes­tern colo­ni­al space like the aca­de­my? Which are and how we can use the resour­ces that we have to deve­lop our prac­ti­ces in white pre­do­mi­nant­ly space? What type of nego­tia­ti­ons is neces­sa­ry and/or meaningful in order to redi­rect our lear­ning in a deco­lo­ni­al way? \nThe lec­tu­re is stron­gly recom­men­ded to Black\, Indi­ge­nous and Peo­p­le of Color\, latinxs\, mez­ti­zes living in Euro­pe. But we also wel­co­me every stu­dent wil­ling to work on self-cri­ti­cism in rela­ti­on to their indi­vi­du­al posi­ti­on within the aca­de­my\, the social con­text\, and glo­bal geography. \nMaria­ma Dial­lo will intro­du­ce the evening with her reflec­tions and thoughts on her expe­ri­ence as an Afri­can woman in the Aca­de­my of Fine Arts. \nWe will end the evening with a per­for­mance of Moenani Sisters. \nThe event will be mode­ra­ted by Lia Kastiyo-Espinósa. \nTrans­la­ti­on: Spa­nish and Ger­man to English \nEvent orga­ni­zed by Frauen*Referat\, from the Stu­dent Uni­on ÖH Uni­ver­si­tät Wien\, in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with PCAP Studio.

DESCRIPTION:Handlungsmöglichkeiten gegen sexistische Gewalttäter: Alternativen zu Gericht und Perspektiven feministischer Gerechtigkeit\n11. März 2020\, 19 Uhr\, Röt­zer­gas­se 13\, Tür 8 \, 1170 Wien \nSexu­el­le Gewalt gegen Frau­en fin­det zu 80% inner­halb der Fami­lie\, in Bezie­hun­gen\, im Bekann­ten­kreis und am Arbeits­platz statt. Zum größ­ten Teil brin­gen Frau­en sexu­el­le Gewalt nicht zur Anzei­ge. Der Weg zum Gericht bringt Frau­en oft kei­ne Gerech­tig­keit: Die öster­rei­chi­sche Jus­tiz­pra­xis zeigt\, dass Anzei­gen wegen sexu­el­ler Gewalt häu­fig ein­ge­stellt wer­den; der Gerichts­pro­zess selbst kon­fron­tiert vie­le Frau­en mit sexis­ti­schen Mythen zu sexu­el­ler Gewalt\, wie „Es ist gar nicht pas­siert“\, „Sie woll­ten es „ oder „Sie hat es ver­dient“ oder auch mit ras­sis­ti­schen und klas­sen­spe­zi­fi­schen Vor­ur­tei­len. Immer öfter wer­den Frau­en nach einer Anzei­ge selbst wegen Falsch­aus­sa­ge oder Ver­leum­dung angezeigt. \nWel­che alter­na­ti­ven Wege und femi­nis­ti­schen Hand­lungs­mög­lich­kei­ten wur­den in der Frau­en­be­we­gung ent­wi­ckelt? Wel­che Über­le­gun­gen gibt es von ein­zel­nen Frau­en? DESCRIPTION:Auf­grund der neu­es­ten Ent­wick­lun­gen gibt es am 13.3. noch zwei Tri­cky Women/Tricky Rea­li­ties 2020 Vor­stel­lun­gen. Um 17 Uhr wird außer­plan­mä­ßig Wett­be­werb 3 und um 19 Uhr Wett­be­werb 4 im METRO Kino­kul­tur­haus gezeigt. Alle ande­ren Vor­stel­lun­gen müs­sen abge­sagt werden. \nZum 17. Mal bringt TRICKY WOMEN/TRICKY REALITIES inter­na­tio­na­les Trick­film­ki­no auf die gro­ße Lein­wand und fei­ert die Strahl­kraft\, den Witz und die Viel­falt des Ani­ma­ti­ons­films von Frau­en*. Einen Raum zu schaf­fen\, in dem die künst­le­ri­sche Arbeit von Frau­en jene Prä­senz ein­nimmt\, die ihr zusteht\, ist heu­te wich­ti­ger denn je. \nFünf Tage lang laden kur­ze und lan­ge Ani­ma­ti­ons­fil­me\, Work­shops\, Aus­stel­lun­gen\, Lec­tures und Dis­kus­sio­nen dazu ein\, in unbe­kann­te Ani­ma­ti­ons­film­wel­ten ein­zu­tau­chen und jen­seits von stan­dar­di­sier­ten Seh­ge­wohn­hei­ten einen fri­schen Blick auf sozia­le Wirk­lich­kei­ten zu werfen. \nTrès fran­çais!
